What the Site is for
The Site hosts engineering design tools for Unifire’s team, partners and customers. It is not a public service and is not used for advertising or marketing. Access to the tools requires a user account issued by Unifire.
Personal data we process, and why
Account data. When we create an account for you, we store your name, email address, company/organisation, username, and a password (stored in hashed form; we cannot read it). We use this data to give you access to the tools and to manage your account. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing and controlling access to our tools (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), and, where the tools are provided under an agreement with you or your organisation, performance of that agreement (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Access log. Each time a tool is launched, we record the date and time (UTC), your username and email address, and which tool was used. We keep this record so we know who is using the tools and to detect misuse or security incidents. We do not record IP addresses in this log, and we do not track how you use the tool or what values you enter. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security and access management (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Login and security records. The Site records successful and failed logins to protect against unauthorised access. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Server logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type). They are used only for security and technical troubleshooting and are automatically deleted after [30] days by the hosting provider. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the secure operation of the Site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Emails. We send you account-related emails only (account creation, password reset, service notices). We do not send newsletters or marketing.
What we do not do
We do not use analytics or tracking tools, advertising cookies, social-media plugins, or third-party trackers of any kind. We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes. Calculations you make in the tools run in your browser and are not sent to us.
Cookies
The Site sets only strictly necessary cookies: those required to keep you logged in and to secure the login session (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie, wp-settings-*). They are essential for the Site to function and are exempt from the consent requirement. No other cookies are set.
Who has access to your data
Only authorised Unifire personnel who administer the Site. Our hosting provider, GoDaddy (GoDaddy.com, LLC, USA), stores the data on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement. This means your data is stored on servers located in the United States. That transfer outside the EU/EEA is protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated in our agreement with GoDaddy, together with GoDaddy’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us at the address above.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 3 months after the account is closed. Access-log entries are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Login/security records are kept for 60 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [privacy contact email]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY, www.imy.se).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
